Chicago Blackhawk Goalie, Crawford, Buys Chicago Townhome

CHICAGO BLACKHAWK GOALIE, COREY CRAWFORD purchased a River North Townhome in December, 2011. You can read the quick post in the Chicago Tribune here...

The River North townhome is in the City Club community, which we will be featuring on Townhome Shop later this Spring. This particular townhome was originally a four bedroom home that was converted to a three bedroom home that now offers two massive walk-in closets. This home features three full bathrooms, two private deck spaces including a 20' x 16' deck on the fourth level, and an attached two-car garage. The listing mentioned high-end kitchen appliances along with a "lavish" master bath with a rain shower. The home was on the market for 118 days and was listed at $1,199,000 when it went under contract in September, 2011. The sale closed in December, 2011, for a purchase price of $1,092,500.

Corey Crawford, originally from Quebec, was drafted by the Blackhawks in the 2003 entry draft. Late in the 2010-2011 season he became the Blackhawks starting goaltender and following that season he was named to the all-star rookie team. In May, 2011, he signed a three-year contract extension worth $8 million.
